Weekly lessons are designed for your child to come back week after week to practice and improve their paddling skills.  Each child will start out in a basic relational style canoe or kayak. Once they learn the basics they have the opportunity to paddle various racing style canoes & kayaks.  Activities during our weekly classes range from intense drills, to counting turtles and practicing rescue techniques. It all depends on the skill level and main goals of the class.

While certainly not required, there are a number canoe races for kids throughout Texas where they have the opportunity to compete against other kids their own age.  Many find it beneficial to have a goal, like an upcoming race.

The times and locations often change from semester to semester based off interests. We know it is impossible to adjust to everyone’s schedule, however we do try to accommodate the majority of people signing up for the semester.   We offer at least one late afternoon/evening class for kids to attend after school, and one mid day/mid week class for the home school kids.  If enough people sign up in a given semester we will make a beginner & intermediate/advance class.  However, if it is a small class all ages and skill level will be combined into one class.  The minimum class size is 6 and the maximum size is 14.

Currently, we are only offering classes in San Marcos .
