What to expect:  We took two of our most popular river tours and turned it into a fun paddling and camping weekend!

San Marcos River

Day 1: Meet at the San Marcos River Retreat in the morning to leave the vehicles and camping gear. Then we’ll hop on the shuttle van, ride up to San Marcos City Park and begin our trip down the cool clear waters of the San Marcos River. Take a few minutes to swim at Rio Vista before paddling down to Cummings Dam where we will eat a picnic lunch (bring your own). It will take around 4-5 hours to reach the San Marcos River Retreat where we will camp for the night. Upon arrival, you will set up your camping gear and have the opportunity to take a shower while we make a camp style dinner for you. Afterwards you are invited to swim, fish or paddle in the local area.

Day 2:  A camp style breakfast will be prepared for you. Pack up camp and drive to our starting location for more fun in the sun. Enjoy another day on the San Marcos River as we paddle 5 miles from Martindale-Staples. You will first encounter a few little fun rapids, followed by calm waters surrounded by wildlife.

You also have the option of opting out of the overnight camping stay if you are just wanting a nice day trip with a camp style dinner.

*There is also the opportunity to turn this into a two-three night camping trip if your group is wants something a little longer.
